I couldn't name a Bauhaus song if my life depended on it, so clearly I have no idea of what to expect from David.
This was an "interesting" set, but not so much in a good way. The first words out of his mouth were "the future is unwritten." This was followed by a song with some interesting guitar sounds the were accompanied by what amounts to spoken word. The second song had lines like "drink with the devil" and "walk with the devil", so I'm not sure of the title of that song. David then did a cover of a Love & Rockets song (I don't know the name). He brought out a woman (Joyce Wilkes) to play cello for the next song, which was about someone from France whose initials were YSL (Yves Saint Laurent?...wild guess). One of the lyrics was "they call him sissy." Anyways, the next song was "Trophy Wife". Then he did another Love & Rockets cover "No new tales to tell", which I did recognize. Johnette came out and joined David for the last song of his set. His vocals just weren't up to par, along with the melodies.
