The first song was pretty strong and I thought “this could be really good”, but I didn’t feel that way at the end of the set.  Don’t get me wrong, they put on a good performance, but the music didn’t draw me in as much as I thought it would. The lead singer certainly had some similarity to Neil Young, vocally. The lead guitar player was quite the character. He apparently got on with the new craze sweeping the country. The Albert Hammond jr. hair club for men. Those chia pets are popping up everywhere. Of course, Rob Machado should probably get some credit or something, but he doesn’t have the mainstream influence that Albert does. Anyhoo, I did enjoy watching the lead guitar bust out some solos. He was slightly manic, which is usually a good thing (with guitar players).
