I first saw Matt Costa in Sacramento a couple years ago. He was playing with a full band and put on a good show, but his music didn't do much for me. I was hoping I would feel different this time around. Unfortunately, I didn't.Matt received a warm welcome when he walked onto the stage. He was supported by one other musician playing guitar. The set started off with the song "Josephine" which could be described as a folk song. Actually, all but two songs were folk. The third song was a light blues number. After the fifth song "Unfamiliar faces" I found myself checking out and the chatter among the crowd had overpowered the music. The other blues number he played had a good riff and was probably the best song of the set. This was followed by an interesting moment in the set where Matt sang A capella. It was clap along with the chorus "Will I lie in your arms again." He's a talented musician, but I'm just not a fan of the music.
