After deciding to go see Sparklehorse I went to their myspace.com/sparklehorse page and listened to a few of the tracks. (I’m not familiar with their stuff) Mellow, but pretty good I thought.

I was pleasantly surprised. They certainly played a few tunes that were softer, but they also rocked it. Without stating the obvious, the drummer certainly drove a lot of the music. He was really into it, which is always nice to see. The lead singer was also rather passionate. He had one of those voice things next to the mic. I forget what they are called, but it’s similar to what Peter Frampton uses, except he never asked us “Do you feeeeel like we do?” I’m a dork, whatever. Anyways, when he used it, it fit well with the music.
