Illuminauts is a three piece electronic dance act from Chula Vista, CA, consisting of David Pena, Nicky Castaneda, and Santino Romeri. They play around San Diego, and should not be missed. The music itself was very good, even if you are not into the electronic thing. It doesn't sound like bad techno raver music at all, but rather beatific and melodic.  They had two tables set up, one with turntables, and the other with a laptop, several keyboards, synthesizers, and who know what else.  The guys were moving around the whole time, pushing buttons, turning knobs, switching records, and moving to the music. The crowd was small, but the ones that were there were dancing and intrigued. Especially if the music is good, it is really interesting to see a live performance of all samples and electronics, although still somewhat mystifying.
