This band is four skinny pushing the dark side of thirty year olds from San Francisco. The lead singer wore his black sunglasses the entire set, and ocassionaly played guitar. The bassist and first guitarist both had long hair, were thin, and wore seventies looking, long sleeved, beige flower patterned button down shirts. They were a powerful front, with a good drummer as well. None of their songs were memorable though, and I thought the set was too long. They were good, and moderately funny, but enough is enough already. It’s late and it’s Wednesday and we’re waiting for the Dirtbombs. They reminded me of Stone Temple Pilots, but with way less style, and sounded like a modern approach to classic and psychadelic rock. However they were faceless, and not just because of the shades. The Sermon probably have some devoted fans, and the guitar parts sounded like they could go great in the background of a movie, just not mine.
