I didn't realize there was an opening band until we heard the news on the radio just before pulling into the parking lot. Sure enough, we could hear some rock music as we made our way into the venue around 7:40pm.Once inside and twelve dollars poorer, I warmed up to my Blue Moon to catch the last couple of songs of Street Sweeper Social Club. I'm not too sure what to think of their band name but the music was some energetic rock. And it wasn't until I saw his face on the huge monitor that I realized it was Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine's side project. The last song they played was a cover of a 1969 song "Kick Out the Jams" from Detroit Hard Rock band MC5.
