Having never heard the Local Natives before I was curious to found out what their sound would be since they had a violinist in the line up. It turned out that the violinist (Amanda) only provided some complimentary parts in a few songs. And after checking out their myspace page I don't even think she's in the band. No harm.

I was a bit confused with this band. There didn't seem to be a "lead singer" and most of the songs were sung by a minimum of three people...at the same time.  They kind of had a jam band sort of feel, but not completely. The highlight of the set was this rhythmic drum deal they had going at the end of their last song. Other than that I just wasn't digging it.
