I’ve been listening to their album pretty much non-stop for the last month and decided to check them out live. I wasn’t disappointed.

They played the entire album along with a few new songs, the first of which was titled Absolute. Good song. It had a Cold Play vibe to it, but a little happier or something to that effect. The next new song (title unknown) was sung by the guitar player (who I just realized sings Heaven Forbid on the album) started it by himself playing acoustic guitar. It was a pretty good song. Somewhere around this time it began to sprinkle and only continued to increase over the next 5 or 6 songs.  They covered the Beatles – Eleanor Rigby. The lead singer was talking about bringing someone on stage and it appeared as if he was going to have a roadie walk on but it turned out to be Jason Mraz. The audience went wild and the lead singer made a comment to the effect of “you’d think I just brought out Jesus.” Jason sat in and played tambourine on “Over My Head” then left the stage. I think Jason just met the band that night or at least it came across that way. Too bad he didn’t sing. The last new song was called “Happiness” sung solo by the lead singer playing acoustic guitar. The song was dedicated to his grandfather who got married 3 weeks ago. Good song. Overall, it was a really good night of music.
