Tool... what else can one say about Tool that someone hasn't already put down? well for starters, this was the first time i'd ever seen/heard them at the Palms' Pearl venue. the tickets are pricey, and i was hesitant on even checking out one of my favourite bands, due to the fact that i've never even paid this much for radiohead. but... i was lucky enough to get my hands on a pair of tickets none the less.
if you haven't seen Tool... you're truly missing out. if you've seen Tool... you most definitely know your ears will be ringing for the next couple of days. and you'll be thanking Tool for your hearing loss because that's what they do. 'oh jeez, my ear cells are dying, but thank you, Tool. thank you for ruining me and my future of being deaf.' their set was as usual... amazingly ridiculous. this tour, they had a friggin' laser show to go with the final 3rd of the show. talk about an intense show from Tool and then lasers at the end to compliment the 'kick you in the nuts rock!'... yeah, i was very sad when the house lights kicked on. there's always next time i get to hear/see them. hooray!
the venue itself is not so bad. it's a decent size, and a classy little spot. the one thing that irks me is, no pictures. i almost got in 'run for your life' mode when the bouncer guy tried to take my iPhone. whew, that would have been lame. lose my iPhone, and not be able to hear/see Tool. with the limited pictures i could take, here you go.
