Dramady is a band from Portland, Oregon and is made up of Zacery Stanley and Amanda Wiles.  They had a long set up and a lot of the few who attended the show had left before they started.  When they did begin I was impressed by Stanley's skill at playing drums and keyboard at the same time while singing.  Wiles simply sang sometimes and played electric bass or the saxophone.  Still, it all came together nicely and I instantly liked it.  The next one was good too with an unexpected tempo change.

The next songs were not as engaging unfortunately.  The fourth did have a catchy start that came back again later in the song.  The next was a bit too repetitive.  There was a couple keyboard mistakes in the following song, but for all Stanley is doing at once, this is forgivable, especially since he played on and simply smiled.  It is nice when musicians do not take themselves too seriously.

The seventh and last song was okay, but I wished I could have heard more that might have stood up to the more dynamic nature of the first two songs.  They are a likable band and hopefully they will get more of a crowd at their next show at The Ruby Room, or the following in Tucson.  I would hate to have a discouraging tour keep them from coming around again.  Wiles mentioned living in Chula Vista though as a child, so maybe they will come back either way.
