One should be so lucky to have the range Chris Cornell has. He brings you up then takes you down, then up then down…Tonight was more than I expected. I was anticipating a show with most of the set list consisting of his current album, but that wasn’t the case. The first several songs were a good mix of Soundgarden, Audio Slave and the current album starting off with “Show Me How to Live”. Then we got the solo acoustic treatment for 5 songs. (The chosen road, I am the Highway, Can’t Change Me, and two more that I can’t remember) I have to say my favorite part of the show was when they played a song off of the Temple of the Dog album – “Say Hello to Heaven”. Certainly wasn’t expecting it and that album is one of my top 10 favorites of all time. It’s excellent from beginning to end. I also enjoyed rockin’ to Jesus Christ Pose and Rusty Cage. What was even more unexpected than “Say Hello to Heaven” was the first song of the encore – “Seasons” from the Singles soundtrack. This is the third time I’ve seen Chris perform and the guy delivers every time.
