I've been trying to see Transfer live for several months now and I'm glad to say that it was worth the wait. I forget how I came across this band, but I remember listening to some of their music on myspace and liking what I heard. The live performance was really good. There was a lot of energy. It was dynamic. What else can you ask for?

They started the set off with an instrumental. Then the next few songs rocked. I don't know the names of any of the songs except when the lead singer would say "this next one is called..." The fourth song was titled "You are the wolf" not to be confused with Sea Wolf's "You're a wolf", which is completely different. It was good...the Transfer one. Some of the other songs they played were "Remain" "Blaine Osborn" and "Sinking Sailing." One of my favorites was the song where the lead singer played bass and the bass player sat behind the keyboard. After the show I bought their full length album (Faded Signal) and new EP (Sunken Eyes), I'll try and figure out the name of that song over the next few days. Transfer played for about 75 minutes and I have to say that they kept my attention for all of it. When you're not familiar with a band's music and see them perform live it can be a real challenge to remain captivated. I'm looking forward to hearing them again live once I've digested their music.

I agree with Jason, Transfer is a solid band. This was my third time seeing them, and each time I see them I like them more.
Though I like most their songs I have to Say, "you are the wolf", "White Horse" and "The Rest of your Life", are my favorites at the moment.

This is the only San Diego band I relate to at the moment. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of talented people doing the public thing right now but these guys are on the money. Hey if one of the band is reading this, stay true to your instincts and don't give in to pressure to fit in. The vests worry me... not as much as the subprime melt down... but worried none the less.
