I arrived at the Austin Music Hall about an hour early for the My Morning Jacket show and Yo La Tengo were on stage when I walked into the venue. I'm not familiar with any of their music and apparently this wasn't the place to start getting familiar. I watched them perform for about 30 minutes and it sounded like rumbling noise. Since I'd never been to this venue before I thought it might be bad acoustics, but that wasn't so because My Morning Jacket put on a clear sounding show.
