This is one of those bands that seem to be tied in with Vampire Weekend. I've listened to some Vampire Weekend music and just don't get it. So, I was a bit surprised to hear MGMT live and be impressed. From what I heard, most of the music wasn't like their single, which they did play. They had a pretty straight forward rock vibe. That's kind of my thing so I'm planning on checking out their album. Unfortunately (or fortunately for them) I was as far back from the stage as it gets and didn't really get to "see" them.
