I showed up about twenty minutes early for the Colour Revolt show and after drinking a few beers I needed to hit the head. When I walked into the restroom some dude was doing vocal exercises with an ipod on. We e e e e e e....Ya ya ya ya ya ya...He turned out not to be the lead singer of the Colour Revolt, but it would have been really funny if he was.
The Colour Revolt is a really solid rock band. I dug their whole vibe and the energy they put into the show. The song that stuck out for me the most was the one that had a chorus of "we want it all." While buying their new album "Plunder, Beg, and Curse" (which officially gets released April 1st ) at the merch booth after the show I asked the two people there if that was the name of the song and they said it's the track on this album titled "Ageless Everytime." It better be! The only "complaint" I have is some of the vocals were a little screamy at the beginning of the set, otherwise a solid show. They are the second band tonight that also has three guitar players. Is this a new trend?
